Aswang attacks the MRT
The "aswang" is a creature of Filipino folklore that feasts on human innards and shares many characteristics with the western vampire. Human by day and winged monstrous carnivore by night, and oftentimes depicted as female, this rendition of the popular Filipino myth illustrates the aswang in modern day showdown that leads up to the dystopian future that sets the novel's plotline.

Here we have the Filipino Giant known for its hulking bulk and smoking large cigars as it sits pensively on an acacia tree. This piece was provided as a free wallpaper to readers.

Pasatsat
Another free wallpaper for "Naermyth" readers, this time an illustration of the pasatsat - zombie-like ghouls of WWII soldiers. Wrapped in reed mats, these creatures rose from their make-shift graves when they didn't get the burial they deserve.
