Flora is a pendant lamp design built to sustain pockets of light while maintaining a golden, lively, glow.
Stemmed from an exploration in “natural” bends, Flora‘s design process relied heavily on modeling and mold making to produce material based curves for the bent laminations. To get the most "natural, material-based curves for my mold, I poured plaster into a conical hollow form. The weight of the plaster pushed the plastic evenly, while maintaining the necessary angles.
