Alfabeti tipografici is an editorial process developed at the Academy of Fine Arts of Catania. At the base of this editorial series underlies the desire to carry out a reflection on the book as a container of culture and instrument of emancipation. 

To implement this connection it was created a series of volumes concerning the various stages of the life of a book, combining the theme with the main theme of the series: numbers, letters and symbols. 

The first volume of the series is about the industry that produces books, publishing, highlighting the main stages of its development since the invention of the printing press to the digital age of desktop publishing with particular reference to a publisher for century. The second volume, letters, presents itself as an analysis of the font used in the publishing field, while the third volume focuses on editorial brands.

The ultimate goal of this series is to spread the culture of the book, precious object in form and content, that can pack a world within its thin pages, physical entity in space by means of which man enriches his mind .The book as a cathartic tool to shape the thinking and nurturing the soul.
