I designed a double sided calendar/poster of the Fall 2016 events for the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts. A large part of the process for the calendar side was creating a system of type that differentiated the various levels of information (i.e. month, day, type of event, event description), but did not become static or visually uninteresting. Using a diagonal grid was a personal challenge, which transformed the large amount of text into a dynamic form. Matching the poster side with the calendar side of the object required preserving certain aspects of the system in an image.
