This was my first freelancing job. The client wanted a workable tattoo design that was to be a combination of two tarot cards he provided.
The first tarot card, a Six of Swords.
The second card, a Seven of Wands.
I carefully separated the relevant elements from their backgrounds in Photoshop CS6, then imported them into Illustrator and ran an object trace for scalability.
The client wanted a mirror black/white render of the object. The above was a test trial of how that looked, with a false color background for visualization aid.
An outline was added to the element that would have been lost to the background.
The finished product.
