'Color The Dead Man Red' was the result of a typography workshop, where each student was given an extremely random sentence to play with. We could make whatever sense we wanted to make of it, but the words had to be illustrated typographically using anything but digital print media.
The words I had to depict were 'color the dead man red', and I decided to show it as : 'men menstruating / men having periods'. I illustrated this idea using a range elements and objects associated with periods, but placed in a male context. The project resulted in the following series of photographs, which I eventually printed out and pasted above the urinals on a wall in the men's restroom.
