This is Vietnam

This is Vietnam!
(an ongoing project)
My country since 2006. The people. The culture. The Viet.

This is perhaps the key project that always motivates and keeps me going in my photography. Whenever I photograph around the streets, the alleys or the countryside in my home country, I always feel a bittersweet tinge of nostalgia.

I was lucky enough to have grown up seeing different snippets of my country, and to be intrigued by the multitude of socioeconomic changes. I am fascinated by the country's messiness, from its wonderful scenery to its disappointing states of affairs in the daily life.

When I first embarked on this project, it already occurred to me as a give-and-take process because I will try to express myself in relation with my home country. Observing the various aspects, I will compile what to be called a collection of the Viet daily moments.

Hopefully, you will see how my perspectives transition over time as I will keep working on this project till whenever possible.
