~ ~ fanzine ~ ~

This fanzine was an academic project made with the intent to be centered in something of my interest. The main goal was to create a project that could be sold and that would have more future editions. Resuming, an editorial project to be continued after college.

As a practitioner of contemporary dance, interested in movement and body language, combining it with its capture, I decided to apply dance and photography as the main topics of my fanzine.

For its production I captured some of my dance classes at Forum Dança, at LX Factory, Lisbon. I take this opportunity to thank our teacher/mentor dancer Carla Ribeiro and to all my colleagues for the availability.

Movement never lies.
It is a barometer telling the state of the soul's weather to all who can read it.

Martha Graham

I'm not interested in how people move; I'm interested in what makes them move.
~~
Pina Bausch

These quotes translate pretty well this fanzine. Dance is a practice that had always been related with other forms of artistic expression. From classic to contemporary, followed the thoughts of artists, philosophers and musicians, relying on disciplines such as physiotherapy, psychology, sociology and theater.

Through body movement is possible to express and embody thoughts and feelings that otherwise are difficult to express.
