Lumi is a cosmetics brand that empowers people by showcasing their inner light. Its name is shortened from “luminosity”—the scientific term to describe the power of a star’s brightness. I was inspired by astronomy to create visual elements that are reminiscent of nighttime. I paired solid colors and fun iconography with the empty navy blue background as a metaphor for shining through the pitch-black horizon.
