Chopard are beautiful handcrafted spinning tops sold only by Design Within Reach. In my research, I discovered that spinning tops were a popular children’s toy in the 50’s and 60’s. Therefore, my target audience will be 55 years old or older.

I decided to package these spinning tops as pieces of “memory” instead of toys. I therefore created the “frames for objects”. Each frame has a film of elastic stretched across the center. Two frames are then held firmly together by a magnet closure, and any object placed between the frames will be suspended by the elastic. The film allows you to put almost any object inside.

The frame packaging comes in either black or white. The hand-drawn logotype "Chopard" is carefully placed on the sleeve along with a unique quote about memory.
