This catalog features works which came
into the collection in the later 1960s
and 70s when the Pop movement was
getting into full swing. Works by British and
American ‘stars’ such as Andy Warhol,
Alex Katz, Tom Wesselamnn, David
Hockney, Allan D’Arcangelo are all on show
along with press cuttings expressing the
reaction of the local media at a time when
Pop Art was still considered to be new and
controversial in the provinces.
This is a concept design for Pop Art exhibition,
which would be take place in Museum of Modern Art in New York.
