“More people die in the U.S. each year from heat-related illnesses than from hurricanes or other natural disasters combined. The Harlem Heat Project explores the public health risks of urban heat, using a combination of crowd-sourcing, data reporting and narrative journalists. The project is produced by WNYC, AdaptNY and ISeeChange, with community partners WE ACT for Environmental Justice and WHCR radio helping to get the word out and explore potential solutions”. – WNYC
