Lord of the Flies 1954 is the first and most famous novel of the British writer William Golding (1911-1993). The title makes allusion to "Beelzebub", the philistine god and a demon in the catholic iconography, whose literal translation is “Lord of flies”. The books explore the topics of the lost of the innocence, the tension between civilization and barbarism, rational and emotional reactions, and between morality and immorality.
The project consists of six illustrations related to the most relevant moments of the plot. Each one is followed by a little fragment of the book which helps to understand the atmosphere and the topics of the work.
