Football Club Groningen was looking for a new design for their team bus.
The club set out a competition to make a new design. A jury selected the best 3 designs for the final.
In the Finals supporters selected my concept as their favorite by giving it the most votes.

After making a lot of sketches I made a final concept that was presented to the jury.
I had a few key values that I wanted to show in the Design: pride, passion and power.
In this concept I've chosen for things that the supporters attach to: The logo, city crest, shirt and stadium.
In the visual I used the skyline in the background because being close to the city is important as well.

The design was made ready to print. On the side view the club logo and city crest are at the door.
The huge size logo is rotated so the name on the logo is still visible in combination with the player.
The arms of the player are fading out so they don't look chopped off :-) The stadium seats are also readable.

The first season was a big succes, FC Groningen won the Dutch KNVB cup for the first time!
During the time around this event the bus showed up on news and social media.
Many videos and photos were taken. The bus became a symbol for the club.

R E D E S I G N
After the cup final I had to make a redesign of the bus and change some things.
I made a design of the cup and added a white shield behind the city crest in style with the shirt.
The player was replaced for a player with the current shirt. Also the slogan of the sponsor changed.
Another small change was the outline of the huge logo to white. So the bus is fully green & white.
