WHAT IF
we could travel in the same way
as the time bandits through space and time,
and could question all interesting personalities
from the present and past about their works,
standpoints and theories?
The "Imaginary Lecture Series: Strange Lab"
at BURG is such a fictitious series of events,
a kind of experimental laboratory for strange,
fictitious or utopian meetings. Whether it is
Gertrude Stein, Alfred Hitchcock in conversation
with François Truffaut or the Alphabettes, -
here various positions from art, design, theory
and pop culture are gathered together,
discussed and debated in the form of lectures
and discussions. We look forward to all the
answers to the questions we have always asked
the architect of Archigram or the artist Hito Steyerl.
The project was curated by Anja Kaiser and Anna Tinnes,
and was held in Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle
in Germany, 2016.
