This project consisted of a simple, yet complex task. Creating the complete alphabet from scratch using paper cut figures - squares, circles, triangles - the challenge was having to use only a white shape as structure - in this case squares - and only three black shapes - squares and triangles - to give life to each letter.
My focus was creating a geometrical type that was bold and solid using squares as the main structure, yet giving them some elegance using really thin extenders.
The goal: creating a type that has a good balance of white and black spaces, giving consistence to the system.
