Some work in progress for an upcoming Harper Collins anthology, that I wrote and illustrated. The publication should be out in March of 2017. It includes work by greats like Sarabjit Sen (creator of Timpa) and Sekhar Mukherjee. Here are some brief sketches and the final panels.
Working only in grayscale taught me a lot about the importance of tonal values, and how a well composed frame can be improved by careful placement of values. The placement of individual panels was also crucial to leading the eye where it was supposed to go.
