The missing cube
Paintings

Final school  art project
The inspiration to my paintings I got from garden flowers in Germany. I visited there as part of a German Jewish youth delegation.
The Rose is my favorite flower, it's reflects softness, gentleness and serenity these are features of my character.
My project include four painting of roses.
The first one is completely realistic. Its transmitted beauty, perfection and Organic flow of nature.
The second painting shows opposite style of cubism. The rose complicated of sharp angles and clear lines. the colors of blue and grey remind technology and modern industry.
I wanted to combine between the two styles (realistic and cubism) that's why I did a frame of nine cubes in a color which contradicts the style of painting.
The third painting is a combination between the two first paintings. The direction of a the rose is upside down the others. It includes geometric parts which painted in warm colors and organic parts which painted in cold colors.
In the last painting you can see parts from the third painting organized Chiasticly on a surface. It colored with neutral colors, black and white, which tone down the mess and calm the eye of the viewer.
My paintings make the viewer to play visual game which combine opposite styles and colors.
I named my work "Missing cube" because in the real life we can't immortalize the perfect beauty of the rose forever, it disappears in few days when it lives wilt.
