Here's a map I submitted to They Draw and Travel. I mostly played around with abstract shapes, balancing the colors from my references and my personal palette and playing with type. As much as I love the glaciers and waterfalls of Iceland, a lot of the colorful structures in the city also caught my eye. Here's an attempt to redraw one of the stories told to me by their residents: a night when they had to turn off the lights in the city to view the Aurora Borealis from their rooftops.
