Bon Appétit Kitchen is a a book containing food preparation and recipes. This cookbook derived from an established publication, Bon Appétit which is an American food and entertaining magazine. For this project, I strip this established identity by extracting a few selected recipe from the magazine and presented the material in a typographic design that is new, and that challenges the audience's preconceived expectations. This cookbook design is inspired by an arty European book by a high-end Michelin-starred chef, which presented an opportunity to create an elegant, and yet simple composition that takes away this material from the realm of food and entertaining magazine into a simple home cookbook recipe. The design composition is centered on typography which is an important part of the publication's identity, and other material such as illustrations and photography were included as supporting elements that relates to the content.
