One of the great passions of the 35-year-old Austrian is to climb on other people’s roof and earning money with it. Andreas Mayerl is a so called extreme-slater. He climbs up houses as well as church spires, and changes – just hanging on a rope – everything from weathercocks to broken roof tiles on buildings, where normally a framework would be necessary to do the job. If one in normal live already acts so brave, he should also be qualified to drive a race car. Since 1998 Andreas Mayerl participates in motor racing. For many years he competed in Renault Silhouette Cars on different race tracks all over Europe and in 2011 he changed into a Porsche, doing his first season in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. With a lot of joy and a good portion of humour the son of an alpinist belongs to the circle of amateurs in the fastest brands cup in the world.
