First Impressions - Job Application: Self-Promotion/Corporate Identity

Small different colourful boxes within a larger minimalistic grey upside down box, is delivered to the company advertising a Graphic Designer position. This box would be my application. The receiver generates an idea of who I am, alongside my design portfolio, on a USB stick inside the green box and printed inside the blue catalogue.

“Like M’s frown” - is representative of the frown sometimes found on my face, often when deep in thought and reflected by the upside down grey box in the design. However, “turn this box upside down”; there is more than meets the eye. The “frown” does not depict my true personality, vibe or feeling. That is why inside this grey box there are bright colourful boxes which present my true self. I love wearing colour in my clothes, on my nails and in my hair. On the USB, along with my portfolio and CV, I have provided a video that is a ‘behind the scenes’ snippet of my fun (full of facial expressions) and colourful photoshoot.

I enjoy the process of making food. The dish might not look good but sometimes it turns out pretty tasty. This is represented by the yellow box filled with savoury popcorn and the pink box with chocolate balls. I know I have a sweet tooth and when it comes to deciding if I want something sweet or savoury, I sometimes can’t make my mind up. So I mix the two together, then I know it’s the best of both worlds!
