La Croix Rebrand

In my Graphic Design IV class this past spring, rebrands were stressed as a powerful creative exercise that allowed students to explore familiar marks and styles while maintaining a drive for originality. This was my major rebrand project for the class. I chose La Croix Naturally Essenced Sparkling Water as the existing brand to conduct the project.

I chose to reimagine the painter-esque style employed on the cans of sparkling water and supplant a refined but still colorful style with cleaner typography.
Creative Brief:
Choose a product category that would bene t from a new look and better idea for packaging. Think about ideas that will reduce waste, encourage reuse of materials or recycling, economy, shelf appearance, and point of purchase display. Choose a brand/product category that will allow multiple applications. This project could involve almost anything you can find in a store and you can redesign an existing product brand or create one from scratch.

Choose a product category.
1. Initial ideas for a packaging system.
2. Design the brand image.
3. Design the packaging for retail sales.
4. Create point of purchase material.

Along with more brand image work, in this project we will be putting a focus on packaging. Bottles, cans, bags, and boxes with fronts and backs, bottoms and tops.”
