YOUTH CLUB SOUNDS: SEASON 2

The work was completed to promote the second season of Youth Club Sounds live events in Leeds, beginning with the return to Club Hifi on September 19th. I was given full creative control over this, really allowing my to flex my creative muscles. I chose a retro-wave 80s aesthetic to give the advertising materials a unique spin which really drew people in- to the point where the event sold completely sold out. The final brief included an A3 poster, which was posted all over the city, a Youth Club Sounds Sticker, (which are still being found in places all over Leeds) Facebook and Twitter content, as well as short promotional videos for the night.  

This project was particularly special to me, not only due to the event being held on my birthday! But to have a huge creative input, and how widespread the promo reached, with people coming from as far as London to attend the event with the posters and stickers being seen all over Leeds was great to experience / see. In addition to this, it was the first event ran in collaboration with Dice.fm, a growing platform for event promotion and ticket selling without booking fees and PUSH Magazine, a web-based magazine focusing on music, fashion, lifestyle and art. In addition to this, the event saw the return of YCS:01 Headliner R.O.M, who has now amassed nearly 30,000 Soundcloud followers and has recently returned from touring Europe and Asia.
