Warehouse/Showroom design for CHALLENGER S.A

CHALLENGER S.A. wanted to renovate and adecuate an old warehouse located in a strategic location in Bogotá, Colombia.

Brief
The client needed a sophisticated yet simple design to showcase the product, offer client support and store stock merchandice. The main floor needed to remain free, with no fixed walls or divisions, while the ceiling had to be the focus of the design.

Pitch
The idea was to carve the ceiling with simple geometry to create a game of skylights, using artificial light as a buffer  element between the ceiling and the main floor.

The design allows the entrance of sunlight into the warehouse, giving  warmth and playing light games with the artificial light setup.
Using the same geometry of the skylight work, the acrylic lamps complement the ceiling design and illuminate the showcased products.
The wood used in the skylight work played a key role in adding shadow textures, which gave movement and a dynamic sensation to the warehouse.
Using the wood and acrylic as a theme to dress specific parts of the architecture program gave unity to the overal design and structured the look of the warehouse.
