Philips AURAE concept envisions a future healthcare that creates a 'transparent waiting experience' for immobile patients. Through ethnographic research conducted on the waiting experience at hospitals, we uncovered a huge disparity between mobile and immobile patient experience. The project challenges the standard the current standards of healthcare using various readily available technology to deliver a whole new immobile patient experience.
Through ethnographic research, we discovered that there is a huge difference between the waiting experience of a mobile patient and an immobile patient. Immobile patients do not have the autonomy like a mobile patient, sacrificing his/her healthcare experience. Current infrastructure also does not facilitate interaction between healthcare givers and immobile patients.

Adjustable Bed for patient to get on the bed easily
Glass transform into an Interactive Screen gives constant updates on the queue status so that patient is assured of a place in the queue.
Every patient faces a one-sided interactive see through glass so that he/she can know where their doctor is at.
Screen transforms and brings patient into a calming environment to alleviate his/her stress involved in their immobile condition.
Doctor easily describes condition to the patient using the same screen.
Patient feels less intimidated by medical processes which may seem dangerous and unsettling.
