MALCOLM X ILLUSTRATION

This illustration of Malcolm X was drawn by hand using value mapping. The dark and light areas were traced out with pencil, then textures were used to create shading and value. The final illustration is made up of tiny letters, lines, and shapes that have been repeated over and over again. At below you can see close ups of the final piece, work in progress photos, and the original photo that inspired the illustration.
