The Global Diabetes Community
Challenge
Diabetes Digital Media is a vast community website specifically aimed at sharing useful information with the Diabetic community. Whilst they had the website, they needed more hands on deck to reach this community in creative ways. The challenge was to deliver health and nutrition information to a very large community making living with Diabetes more understandable.
Solution
I worked as part of the Engagement Team engaging over 50 million people a year through news and social media. Part of my role was to understand and promote the company's programmes. To do this, I worked closely with the in-house nutritionist and engagement team to create and share educational nutritional content in an easy-to-digest format. We would team up everyday and break down what information needed to be shared, and discuss how and why we were going to do this.
Results
We created another account specifically for these graphics to be posted on and for the community to grow on. A lot of people started interacting straight away mentioning how happy they were to have some ideas for 'what to cook tonight'. From zero, the account grew a couple of hundred followers in a couple of weeks and created a new dimension to the brand.
