The animation is part of my last assignment in my college. The theme I pick for the last assignment is about sign language for deaf people, and how to make those sign language known by other people, especially normal people who don’t have any deficiency.
To achieve it, the designer decided to make an animated sticker emoticon that usually used in one of the social media, LINE. The stickers consisted of various greetings that used in everyday life, like : hello, thankyou, sorry, shy, panic, tired, etc.
There are 2 characters in this animation sticker as can be seen. The male character, is the deaf person, so he communicate using sign language, while the female character translating what the male is “saying”.
The drawing of the sticker is done manually. And they’re colored using watercolor. The method of animation used for this project is cut-out animation. After all the part is drawn, they’re animated using Adobe After Effect Program.
There are total of 24 stickers in this animated sticker emoticon, with various action, expression, and of course sign language.
