I was asked to create a distinctive logo for Eva, a photographer mainly focused on immortalizing social events, weddings and life. She describes herself and her work as the following:

Moments. I photograph moments, that's all. Moments are people, places and sunny days, but also emotions, kisses, sincere hugs and knowing glances. Because moments are not settle, they are lived, they are real. Beautiful. And this is what I'm going to photograph, your life. Your important days. Your big changes. Your feelings. Eva wanted me to make a very personal and powerful logotype
with a strong feminist meaning and a handmade look.

So finally the logo I made is composed by an illustration of two hands and a type composition which can appear in two different ways: the standard full name version and the simplified version used for smaller sizes with just the initials of the name.

The hands in this position are the symbol used by feminists to represent the vagina (sometimes also known as the "Yoni mudra"). However, in this case they are also representing an imaginary letter A,

obviously standing for Alpha.

Since the mark needed to look handmade but also corporative somehow I decided to use typographic stamp letters for the subtitle and the monogram. So I stamped the words several times in two
different shapes and then I chose the best fitting ones within the drawing.
