The client wanted a website where he could manage room reservations, for rooms he has at Porto, Portugal. He already had his rooms to book on other websites, but he wanted one of his own, so he could have a more controlled approach to his business. That was the brief, and our mission was to create the business individual voice in the market.
The first approach to the client was to understand his approach to his clients. He wanted the client to have a clean and secure experience through the website, always providing him with the feedback of what he's doing, and give him confidence to make a reservation. Having that in mind, the design was thought in the most simple possible way, with as few steps as possible for the client to book a room. The site is made on Wordpress, but the theme was completely created from scratch by me, having in consideration the context of the business background and the context of the city, Porto. There was a reservation module created also from scratch by my partner, with the possibility of choosing check-in and check-out dates according to availability at the moment.
