VAT Global

We were asked to create an identity for VAT Global that clearly formed a part of the VAT IT brand architecture.
The VAT Global identity needed to be professional, multi-national, smart and techy. We needed to follow the visual language of the VAT IT brand but the identity needed to be unique enough to clearly differentiate Vat Global  from VAT IT. 
Logo Design
Design Route 1
The word “global” implies everywhere you go. Topographic maps show the world in detail with depth and vastness - much like  VAT Global's compliance approach – scientific, detailed and in-depth. The geographic information was used to form beautiful patterns. 
By abstracting these patterns and using shadows to create depth, we communicateD our in-depth VAT approach and vast reach whilst keeping consistency with the VAT IT brand by using its colour palette.

Design Route 2
The second art direction route for the VAT Global brand highlighted the brands global reach and international network of specialists using a simple graphic device: dots. The dots represent connectivity, networking and people. Compliance is all about connecting or joining the dots, simplifying the problem and finding the solution. 
Dotted Typographic Treatment
A dotted typographic treatment was developed for use on digital platforms so dynamic type could be integrated with imagery. 
Image Treatment
The image treatment pulls through the circular graphic language by using tilt-shift photography of landscapes and locations, speaking to the global reach of the brand, with circular bokeh. This allows the viewer to feel an environment and abstractly communicates the network of people behind VAT Global. A grid of dots is overlayed on images to show the network.

The third art direction route for the VAT Global brand aimed to communicate the ease, simplicity and effortlessness of the brands' TAX approach which minimises complexity and finds clarity in intricacy.
