Bibliophilic book design for Petya Dubarova
_____________
Illustrations represent Petya's transformation from a cheerful girl to a depressing young woman that decided to commit suicide at the age of eighteen. All illustrations consist of manipulated versions of Petya's original photographs and calligraphic elements. They present her life change through the years by a gradient from white (representing the good, the happiness in her life) to black (the moment she committed suicide).
The book consists of twenty-one sheets of content assembled in a white paper folder.
Nine poems paired with nine illustrations - eight for every year that she has written poems and one for all unwritten poems that she has. The project includes three more sheets - headline, project description, and the author's signature.
All visuals are original signed screen prints.
