College project - Year 3
For this project we were required to design an Object Smaller Than A Cat (OSTAC) working to a theme identified by our tutor. For this project we were tutored by Irish design company STAYHOLD. We were required to produce a desk tidy that demonstrates strong links to their product focus, design approach, brand and design style.
Once we found a concept and a form that we felt suited STAYHOLD's product focus, design approach, brand and design style, we could then start turning these sketches into 3D models. We used a mixture of card, low density foam and high density foam to make these models. This gave us a better picture of how they would look, how the user would interact with them and what material was needed to make them.
Cubies is a series of little cube shaped desk tidy. There are different options available so that you can mix and match the set you need to keep your desk tidy.
