Compositions of Letters - Artwork of Typography
Using black and white letters and numbers, one grouping of sans serif from the Neue Haas Grotesk family, and one group from the serif family of Stempel Garamond, I created two unique and original compositions with different sizes, angles, and combinations. Glyphs were first hand drawn as thumbnail sketches with several variations, then digitized into comps. I chose my best composition from those and then created twelve variations of the digital comps for each set. The final ones were chosen, printed and mounted on foam core, and photographed. Digital comps were created in Adobe Illustrator.
