Glyph Composition with Serif and San-Serif Type

The glyph on the left is Neue Haas Grostesk type and the one on the right is Stempel Garamond type.
Introduction: For this project we were asked to compose two images with glyphs using a serif type, Stempel Garamond, and a san-serif type, Neue Haas Grotesk incorporating the design principles.  We were to use at least five glyphs and no more than eight and also at least two black and two white.
With this san-serif image I was looking to incorporate the design principle of grouping.
With this serif image, I was looking to incorporate the design principles of movement, visual hierarchy, and symmetry.
