Bachelor Final Project

__ My research and my degree project was born from the curiosity to try and redeem different concepts of ugliness, to look at them from a perspective devoid of cultural impositions and appreciate its social content, human and historical, that exist in them. I don't know whether the objective of beauty or ugliness exists, but what I discovered is that if we have the courage to look beyond, underneath the surface of these characteristics, there is an interesting story.

Ugliness has always been considered the shadow of beauty, his evil twin brother. In modern times, it turns out that in nature if there is something ugly, it mixes up with the beautiful. The ugly then becomes an aesthetic category of modernity.

__ La mia ricerca e il mio progetto nascono dalla curiosità di provare a redimere diversi concetti di bruttezza, per guardarli da un prospettiva priva di imposizioni culturali e apprezzarne i contenuti sociali, umani e storici che esistono in essi. Non so se esite una bellezza o una bruttezza oggettiva, ma quello che ho scoperto è che se non ci fermiamo alla superificie delle cose, esiste una storia interessante ovunque abbiamo il coraggio di guardare oltre le cose.

Il brutto è sempre stato considerato l’ombra del bello, il suo fratello gemello cattivo. Nell’età moderna si scopre che nella stessa natura c’è qualcosa di deforme, che il brutto si mescola al bello. Il brutto diventa una categoria estetica della modernità.
