K.C. POLICE CREDIT UNION ANNOUNCES BONUS DIVIDEND

(Kansas City, Missouri) - K.C. Police Credit Union (KCPCU) is proud to announce that, for the first time in its history, a bonus dividend, totaling $200,000 was shared with its members on December 31, 2012. KCPCU’s Board of Directors approved the dividend on October 25, 2012.

Active member participation contributed to a very successful year for the Credit Union, allowing for the dividend payout. Members received 7% of the sum of interest paid on their loans and interest earned on their deposits.

“We are very excited to be able to illustrate to our members the true difference between credit unions and banks by returning the Credit Union’s profits back to our members,” said KCPCU President, Aaron Goff.
KCPCU’s success is not only apparent to its active members, but also with the community. In 2012, KCPCU opened up two new branches - one in South Kansas City, at the KCPD’s South Patrol Campus and a subsidiary branch (CODE 1 Credit Union) in Independence, at 40 Highway and Little Blue Parkway.
