Next to the Kalasag armor, Lira's armor is one of the most awaited items in the Encantadia inventory or armory. Her color palette is a combination of Mine-a's and Cassiope-a's characteristics(Mine-a = GOLD and Cassiope-a = Violet).
In the new mythology, the armor is forged by the legendary warrior and weapon smith, VISH'KA.
Lira's first armor concept showed the familiar symbol of the Sapiro culture, the horned creature or Sarangay placed at the center of the breastplate. the symbol was later on changed to the Lireo "Lambana" seal to emphasize the idea of a combined Lireo and Sapiro armor design.
I designed a cape inspired by a medieval accessory that is seldom used or seen in shows and other narratives. apparently, it was too complicated to make so production had to let go of it and kept Lira's look simple and practical.
Originally, the armor is not all gold, but a combination of elemental based colors dominated by gold. It is to subliminally tell the audience that Lira is the one that would unite the four sisters.
The AVATAR, Lira's sword, is the splitting image of Mine-a's sword, LAYA. The difference is the dominance of gold and the symbol of Sapiro on its scabbard.
