Saint Narcís festival

Branding

This is my proposal for the fair and festival of this year. I have decided to capture the charm that the huge Saint Narcís fairs give off with the smallest thing: its fly. So, we find more than 54 flies spread all over the poster, without order, without limit, without impediment, moving, being free, flowing…
The number of flies in the poster increases as you go closer to the festival. The farther from the festival, the flies will leave, representing the crowd, the movement, the small shops, the fairs, the joy… and all the activities that have a place during the festival.

“…The legend says when Girona was besieged by French, they sacked everything of value that the city had without showing any respect. When they went to open Saint Narcís’ tomb and pulled up his arm, flies started to spring from his body. There appeared as many flies as French soldiers and knights were in the city. These flies bit those soldiers and knights, and therefore, the city of Girona was released from the French siege.”

The number of flies that there exists on the poster increases as you go closer to the festival: (Devesa, Sant Fèlix, Old Town). The farther from the festival, the left poster will be used. The closer to the festival, the right ones, progressively, will be used.

This is a poster apparently simply that contains the story of a city, tradition, values and feelings that always spring during the fairs and festival of Saint Narcís.
