Allura is a media fest organised by the Department of Communication of St.Joseph's College, Bangalore every year. This year as the final years of Bachelors of Visual Communication, we are proud to present the fourth edition of Allura. The event was a two day festival which was held on 26th and 27th of August,2016.
This year we chose the theme " Surrealism", an avante- garde art and literary movement that aims to unlock the creative power of the unconcious mind. The diversity of events invites students across various fields to come participate and showcase their talent in a competitive atmosphere.
Being part of the design team for Allura 2016 has been a great experience to work as a team. We coordinated hand in hand bringing out the best to give Allura a better exposure and communicate what we stand for through our designs.
Here are some of the digital artworks created by me.
We started our online campaign with the coming soon posters. This a photo manipulation of all the famous surrealistic artists.
A 60's music album styled art. The art was used for the event ' Live Dubbing' Poster.
The poster was created for the event ' Poetry Slam'.
We released a series of posters one week before Allura 2016. This poster was shared on online platforms four days before the event.
Even though designing this poster took quite some time, Loved the Output. The poster was uploaded five days before Allura. The character in the poster in Shinichi Izumi from the anime " Parasyte" (and yes i am an anime fan xD )
The entry tag for the participants who register for the event. I combined an artwork I created of Salvador Dali, the famous surrealistic Painter.
