Nike T-Shirt
A graphic for an urban audience gets the low-rider treatment
During my internship at Nike, I was tasked with designing a t-shirt that would be sold strictly in stores catering to an urban, hip-hop demographic... using the word "Swoosh." My research for this project included perusing magazines like VIBE and Low Rider, which inspired me to create the text by hand and use several photoshop treatments to give the entire image a slick, shiny car-paint-job feel. The digitally-printed image was coated with a special product called "Goo," which is a slightly rubbery, glossy, raised material that adds an interesting depth to the image. The t-shirt was a hit and sold well in FootAction USA Stores.
