This small fresh fish packaging has as goal to substitute existing non-recyclable polystyrene trays. The packaging is made from recycled paperboard without bleaching coverage. It is also laminated with a BOPP (biaxially oriented polyethylene) film which makes the packaging both hydrophobic and insulated in order to increase the shelf life of fresh fish. Thus, this packaging is recyclable up to 95%.
Besides the environmental aspect, this package has the second goal of enhancing the consumption of small fish species by choosing a graphic style that is both desirable and informative.
