During this tutorial I learned how to use knockout text to make parts of the letters disappear instead of just overlapping.
Learned how to duplicate in different colors to give the appearance of a shadow below the letters.
Here I learned the basics of wrapping text around an object using photoshop's "work path" function. Creates a 3D-looking image.
Learned how to use multiple strokes of different sizes while maintaining the same exact two colors using the eyedropper.

Here I learned the basics of creating my own gradient and using the brush palette to make a sparkle effect.
Learned how to use an inner glow to make the letters pop from the image. Found it difficult to blend the beveled/embossed part into the inner letters.
Learned how to use both the horizontal and vertical blur functions to do this. An outer glow around the letters also helped in blurring the letters further.
Here I gained knowledge of "Noise" where I used the "Median" effect to make the letters appear worn and scratched.
Learned about the different sizes and types of brushes available, and how to space the letters further apart so that the word is still readable.
This one was probably the most time consuming, but also had the best outcome. Used multiple strokes, glows, copies, and colors to create this old sugar bag effect.
