Squid Ink Vinyl Cover
For the band Squid Ink I created a cover design, vinyl cover, and vinyl sticker. I started with brain storming what came to my mind when I heard squid ink. After I made this list I started researching these ideas as well as techniques that could be used to make this vinyl packaging stand out. I started looking at the laser cutter and line drawling’s of squids.
This research leads to my two sleeve vinyl cover. These sleeves create a layered look that allows for the listener to have more of an experience when opening the vinyl. The hard cover is laser cut with plastic backing. The folded inner sleeve is interlaced paper that opens up to the vinyl in the center. All of these elements are representing the band Squid Ink.
