The project brief was to create a book cover for a fictitious book based on a graphic designer of our choosing. I chose Stefan Sagmeister as my subject. The colours yellow and black were chosen as the predominant colours in the cover as these are the colours used in one of Sagmeister's most recent works, 'The Happy Show'. I traced Sagmeister's handwriting for the title as well as for the word 'Foreword', as he is an advocate for the beauty of handwriting and I wanted to portray this in my design.
