This is a conceptual piece based on emotional abuse. For me the black ink represents the abuser and the white flower represents the victim and their vulnerability and innocence. They look visually stunning together which is deceiving because the ink has an irreversible and eternally damaging effect on the flower, much like the effect of abuse. The idea is that once harmful words have been said, they cannot be un-said. However, the video is also open to interpretation. This project was for my final major project at the Arts University Bournemouth and won an award as well as a distinction with full marks.
