IKEA Flatpack Lampshade project.
The resulting design, 'Backenet', consists of three nested pelvis shapes with a central bracket for the light source. The design combines the symbolism of light with the human form to represent regeneration/knowledge (with a hint of humour).
IKEA Habitus furniture design project.
This design, a 'Cupboard Castle', combines the functions of storage, chalkboard surface (the front doors) and dollhouse. Targeted at children ages 2-7, the Castle is fun and functional. It is representational enough to be a dollhouse, but its simplicity allows it to work as an interesting piece of storage furniture in the meantime. The chalkboard surfaces allow children to express their imaginations.
