"The building has this unique smell", I said to the person who greeted me as I entered Park slope Food Co-op. "It's probably the smell of freshness" he said as he shared his laughter with the another person besides him.  Maybe they were friends, its hard to tell in here. Everyone is so friendly which is odd but what baffles the cynic in me is that they are technically working for free. This place has around 16,000 members and each and everyone of them has to work 2 hours and 45 minutes per month to be able to shop here.
