Vladimir Nabokov: Lolita
Student project; book design and illustration made using the silkscreen technique for Vladimir Nabokov's Lolita, a controversial novel that is very hard to design and illustrate. In my attempt to portray H.H. and Lolita I used typography and photography; all in red and black. The black elements are bigger, bolder and more present as is H.H. in the novel; it's a way of presenting his monstrous side. On the other hand, the little red childlike interventions are Lolita, only silently present as is her voice in the novel.
